The mission of First Presbyterian Church of Sturgis is living and sharing the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ with our church family and the world.

WHAT: 1st Annual Inter-Church Bowl-Off
WHEN: June 29th. Taco Bar Dinner at 5:00pm, Bowl-off after.
WHO: Teams of 4 from each church. Other spectators are welcome.
WHERE: Sturgis Strikers, 910 1st St, Sturgis, SD 57785-1506
COST: $20/person. This includes dinner, shoe rental, and three games of bowling. Payment can be brought the night of, checks made payable to Sturgis Strikers. Spectators are welcome to dinner, $10/person for the taco bar.
WHY: A fun opportunity to build fellowship with community churches.

Churches Care for Whitewood invite you to join us for Vacation Bible School as we seek to discover the BIGNESS of God!

What: Vacation Bible School! A free and fun summer event for kids featuring games, crafts, and learning about who Jesus is!Who: Pre-K – 6th graders. Must be at least 4 years old to attend.    

When: Sunday, July 13 – Thursday, July 17, 5:30pm – 8:00pm

Where: Immanuel Lutheran Church, 920 Fillmore, Whitewood, SD

Why: To have fun with friends, play lots of games, and learn about Jesus!

The final part of the mission statement of Love INC is to accomplish our work IN THE NAME OF CHRIST.

Whatever you do, do it from the heart, as something done for the Lord and not for people, knowing that you will receive the reward of an inheritance from the Lord. You serve the Lord Christ.  -- Colossians 3:23-24 (CSB)

We are blessed as children of God to also be called ambassadors of Christ. An ambassador is one who represents their home country abroad in a foreign land. What a perfect description of our work! In everything we do we strive to represent our God and labor as though everything was directed towards him. This is especially true in our goal to lift up the arms of the local church and help her accomplished the tasks God has assigned to her.
