Rally Ministry at Love INC Sturgis |
And whoever gives even a cup of cold water to one of these little ones because he is a disciple, truly I tell you, he will never lose his reward.” -- Matthew 10:42 (CSB)
It was a delight to be able to partner with the Hellfighters for some rally ministry this year. They passed out water and shared the hope of the gospel with those passing by. We pray that even if people came looking "for a good time" in Sturgis they instead for the great hope of the Joy of the Lord. |

We believe in the mission of the church. Jesus inaugurated his earthly ministry by proclaiming the good news of the Kingdom of God (Matthew 4:17). Luke records him quoting Isaiah 61 in the synagogue: “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovering of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor.” The Kingdom of God is the intrusion of his redemptive reign over the world he made. We believe the local church is the primary manifestation of the Kingdom of God. We pray daily, “thy kingdom come, they will be done, on earth as it is in heaven,” and we co-labor (1 Cor 3:9) with Christ through his Spirit to see that done.
God has commissioned and designed the church to be the primary vehicle of his mission to reconcile all things to himself and remake the world (Col 1:20, 2 Cor 5:18). As we seek to share Christ and love our neighbor, we want our love to “abound more and more, with knowledge and all discernment” so that our impact is intentional and lasting (Phil 1:9). God has made all believers priests (1 Peter 2:9, Heb 10:19-22), thus, we seek to not over professionalize our ministry but rather equip and mobilize believers for the work of ministry directly at the household level (Eph 4:12).
